E-qual Electronic Portfolio in major deal

DDL Ltd’s e-portfolio software has been adopted by Wood Group PSN to monitor the competence of its workforce on oil platforms and onshore.

DDL Ltd, a leading north-east based software developer has announced a major new deal with Wood Group PSN, one of the largest oil and gas services companies globally. The 3 year agreement will enable Wood Group PSN to use DDL Ltd’s competency management tool ‘E-qual Electronic Portfolio’ exclusively for their compliance monitoring and training management.

Workers on oil rigs in the North Sea, many of whom live in the north east, will be the first to benefit from using the software, before a planned rollout worldwide.

DDL Ltd specialise in creating learning and assessment software and their expertise in this area has been fundamental in Wood Group PSN choosing to adopt their e-portfolio system.

DDL Ltd’s managing director, David Gardner, said of the deal “This contract places DDL Ltd at the forefront of online competency management in the oil and gas sector. It will be a key component towards making oil and gas installations worldwide safer and more secure working environments.”
